ROBOTS FOLLOW ME HOME

This 8-page comic was written and drawn over one weekend in 1997. I was determined to complete a comic project, from start to finish, during that time. This is one of the few comics that survived this period of my life, when many things were lost during fits of spring cleaning. It also represents a time when I drew the entire page composition on the same page. I have since taken to building the panel layouts in the computer.

The cover was created in May 2019. As a graphic designer, my client work often has a clean, modern aesthetic. I take a messier, more tactile approach to my personal work. For this cover, I physically distressed printouts of the text, layered them together and scanned it all back into the computer. I also took the opportunity to update the robot’s instructions and chest display.
